Youth Swim Team
Donelson - Dolphins Tryouts
Join us to determine your swimmers ability and which group they will be in on the Donelson Dolphin Swim Team. Please ensure your swimmer is well rested and is properly fueled. Tryouts will be completely in the water so ensure your swimmer comes in a competitive swim suit, goggles, a swim cap if they have longer hair, has a towel, and a water bottle.

Stingrays - Advanced/Intermediate
YMCA swim teams offer youth the chance to experience the enormous health benefits of swimming while enjoying the fun, excitement and character lessons that come with being a member of a competitive swim team.
Beginner – 50 yards unassisted freestyle without touching the sides or bottom – freestyle and backstroke proficient – have knowledge of butterfly and breaststroke strokes
Intermediate – 100 yards unassisted freestyle without touching the bottom – freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke proficient – butterfly kick proficient
Advanced – 200 yards freestyle unassisted without touching the bottom – all four strokes proficient – basic knowledge of flip turns, open turns, and diving
Intermediate skill swimmers may select AM or PM. We suggest AM to be among stronger swimmers that will push their growth!
Swim meet dates: June 14 @ Robertson, Aug 3 @ Pearl Cohn, *more to be determined*
